Hi, I’m Ellie, the founder of Tired Cub and mum to a gorgeous little boy.

Like so many of us, my journey into motherhood was filled with love, happiness, pride- and a whole lot of exhaustion. For the first year of my son’s life, sleep seemed impossible. Nights were a blur of dummies falling out every ten minutes, endless rocking, and desperate Googling at 3am. In my tired haze, I tried different methods, including the Ferber approach, which never sat right with me. The sleep issues continued and eventually I reached out to a sleep consultant… and it completely transformed not only my son’s sleep, but my family’s life.

As someone who loves to socialise, I hated that I had begun to dread much loved mat-leave meet ups. I always knew it would be fine once I got there, but my I was so tired- and there was always a 50/50 chance my little one would play up, as his naps were so unpredictable. It even became a running joke with my family that my little babe didn’t like them, as he would always be miserable when he saw them. It was just bad timing, they only ever saw him on bad/short nap days.

After seeing the sleep consultant I started to feel excited about getting out and about again! We were all able enjoy more time together now that we weren’t tired and feeling depleted.

At the time I had also recently returned to my corporate 9-5 in the City; I knew it would be tough, but I really struggled. Sleepless nights and 5am starts meant I was literally falling asleep at my desk - sometimes I couldn’t even read my notes because I had genuinely veered off the page as I was starting to doze! Trying to work with so little sleep would be hard at the best of times, but when all you can think about is being back home with your baby, it’s incredibly difficult.

I then had a sort of lightbulb moment. I realised how powerful the right guidance and support could be for parents who were exhausted, overwhelmed, and just NEEDING rest (like me). I had lost my passion for my full time job and yearned for more time with my boy.

And so, Tired Cub was born.

I specialise in removing sleep associations e.g. dummy, breast, chest, and my approach is gentle, nurturing, and tailored to your family’s unique needs. Your baby doesn’t have to ‘cry it out’ to sleep better. I know firsthand how emotional and difficult sleep struggles can be, which is why I’ll walk alongside you with empathy, compassion, and practical strategies that actually work.

Because every family deserves rest. And every little cub deserves to sleep peacefully.
